The goal of SDCDHS is to promote dental health education to improve the overall dental health of all San Diegans. We are specifically interested in community based activities and advocate members to reach out to schools, senior retirement homes, nursing homes and homes for the disabled in their respective communities. Members have access to tooth fairy costumes, dental health props, videos and toothbrushes by contacting our Mistress Tooth Fairy, Danice Dean at ddean@sdcdhs.org

SDCDHS seeks to accomplish our objective through a variety of programs by attendance at various community health fairs, co-sponsoring sealant clinics and distributing dental health care packages to children’s receiving homes, women’s shelters and senior citizens via Meals on Wheels. We promote members to assist other organizations such as Share the Care, Children's Dental Health Association, Saint Vincent DePaul, UCSD Free Dental Clinic, St. Leo's Clinic and the Smiles Fluoride Program.
