Self Regulation for Registered Dental Hygienists!
Self regulation will become a reality on July 1, 2009. The Dental Hygiene Committee of California (DHCC) will replace COMDA to represent us. The Board will consist of nine members appointed by the Governor – 4 public members, 1 practicing dentist and 4 dental hygienists, one being an educator and another being in alternative practice or extended functions. The dream has become reality! Visit COMDA.ca.gov for upcoming information.
